This site is dedicated to bringing you up to date news about the Sex and the City 2 Movie. As soon as we hear something we will post it here. We will also have SATC 2 wallpapers, SATC 2 video clips and more SATC 2 info as soon as it becomes available.
Sex And The City's fashionista heroines might seem as much part of New York as Broadway and the Statue of Liberty.
But the producers of their muchanticipated second big-screen outing have other ideas.
So get ready for Sheikhs And The City. Or maybe Sex And The Desert.
According to showbiz insider Jenni Falconer, the latest gossip is that part of the sequel, which is currently being filmed, will be set in the Middle East. The Scots GMTV presenter has been working in the Big Apple and gleefully picking up the latest rumours.
Jenni, 33, yesterday told her followers on Twitter: " Spoiler - Sex And The City 2 gossip.
"Apparently Liza Minnelli may be on board and part of it is set in the Middle East."
She also posted a photograph of character Carrie Bradshaw's fictional house, complete with fake flowers outside her door.
Jenni added: "Met someone working on the production and they told me the goss. They are filming until January."
The movie's plot is a closely guarded secret, although there have been rumours it could see Carrie - played by Sarah Jessica Parker - and husband Big - Chris Noth - move to London. Producers were also said to be toying with Big taking a job in Dubai.
The United Arab Emirates' government rejected a request to film there for "moral" reasons but Jenni's post suggests an alternative Middle East location has been found.
SJP, who recently became mum to twins through a surrogate in real life, and the gang could also be hearing the patter of tiny feet on screen. Several British stars, including Katie Price and Victoria Beckham, are rumoured to have auditioned for the role of an English nanny. Jenni, who was filming for GMTV, also found time to play, with a visit to an exclusive private members' club.
She wrote: "There are bikini-clad fire eaters dancing by the rooftop pool. We hope we don't have to join in."
Ask any woman which Sex and the City character she's most like, and we guarantee Miranda's name would be bottom of the list, however, it seems the woman who plays her, Cynthia Nixon, is far more popular.
Unpredictably, the lesbian actress is proving the most popular draw on the Sex and the City movie set in New York City this week, with extra security needed to keep the 'hysterial' crowds at bay every time she appears to film a scene.
'People were screaming and trying to push past guards,' an onlooker told ContactMusic.com. 'The fans were just too much. Security looked legitimately concerned for her safety.'
Mind you, that doesn't mean they're not interested in the other stars appearing in the film.
'At one point, teenage girls were practically trampling each other trying to get to Sarah Jessica as she was walking back to her trailer,' adds the spy, 'but her security team was shoving everyone out of the way.'
The buzz over the Sex and the City 2 movie began anew when Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted filming scenes in NYC this week. And no SATC movie shoot is complete without the covetous fashion, especially the shoes. Parker was seen decked out in Christian Louboutin and Jee Vice accessories for one scene, in which she wore a pleated, blue and grey tiered dress cinched with a belt.
The shoes, the Gino Round Toe T-Strap, feature a black patent toe, yellow and gold side straps, and a yellow T-strap and ankle buckle. Of course, the signature red sole can be seen on the heel. Although similar color combinations of the Gino have been available in the past, the ones shown on Carrie are possibly a look at what's to come from Louboutin.
The bag, a slouchy hot pink Sylvia Drapey Hobo, is a sharp contrast to the simple hues and classic style of the shoes. This bag screams 80's fun, and hits several trend points in handbags: oversized, slouchy and neon. Although the hot pink shade is great for summer, this bag is currently only available in grey--a good investment bag for fall. Again, will we see the hot pink version next summer?
The sunglasses are round orange acetate Heated shades from Jee Vice, a luxury eyewear retailer established in France that has been worn by Anne Hathaway, Salma Hayek, Katherine Heigl, Lindsay Lohan and more. With a double bridge and thick frames, the wrap sunglasses are bold and attention-grabbing. Although sunwear will be trending smaller over the next few years, these fun frames are not old news yet. And as orange is a key hue for fall, these sunglasses are available now on Jee Vice's web site.
Well, after only 2 years of "preparing" to put the forum, its finally here. In partnership with FanForum.com who already has an established SATC forum community, we came to agreement that it will benefit both of us to connect.
So now you my dear visitors have a place to discuss things related to Sex and the City Movie and their visitors have a place here to catch up on fresh info from SATC World :)
Croat excited to be Samantha´s lover in SATC Movie
August, 31. 2009.
A Croatian male model has admitted he got very excited after being chosen to play the role of a lover in the second part of the American movie "Sex and the City."
Former Mister Croatia Filip Kleva told the daily Vecernji List he would play the role of a handsome guy Samantha (Kim Cattrall) falls in love with.
"I'll love the role as Samantha has been my favourite character in Sex and the City," Kleva said. "I'm very excited about it", he added.
Almost every woman we know--and a few men--are megafans of Sex and the City. And those fans are going to be very jealous of their friends who work at Hogan & Hartson when Sarah Jessica Parker and crew come to the firm's New York offices early next month to film part of the sequel.
The atrium on the 25th floor of Hogan's offices at 875 Third Ave. will be transformed into Mr. Big's on-screen office, according to an internal memo that found its way to our in-box. (We have no idea what Mr. Big does for a living, but we know he's played by the dreamy Chris Noth.)
If you've got a friend at Hogan, don't get your hopes up for an invite on Sept. 2, when the cast will be filming there.
"We understand that your friends and family are BIG fans (and Mr. Big fans) of the series," the internal memo says. "Unfortunately, as much as we want to, we cannot accommodate guests, friends and family members, and fellow fashionistas. If at all possible, we will try to arrange for Hogan employees to meet the stars and get autographs, but we cannot guarantee this."
There is war on the set of Sex And The City 2 as the bitching and back-stabbing continues — and the filming hasn't even started yet!
Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall are at loggerheads once again, and there are no signs that either is going to back down.
Kim, who plays Samantha, is nursing a broken heart after splitting from long-term boyfriend, Canadian chef Alan Wyse, after five years — but we hear SJP has been less than supportive.
We're told: “Sarah is too busy to comfort Kim or worry about her problems at the moment, and she basically told her as much.
“Kim has been moping around, feeling sorry for herself and Sarah basically told her to snap out of it and buck up her ideas.
“Kim didn't take this too well and there is a very frosty atmosphere between the girls right now. They only speak to each other when absolutely necessary. The film producers are hoping this row doesn't escalate and threaten the entire movie.
“Both actresses are professional but they are two very different people.”
We just got confirmation that it doesn't look like our favorite Frenchman, Gilles Marini, will be reprising his role as Samantha Jones' very well-endowed Malibu neighbor in the follow-up to the Sex and the City movie.
"As far as I know, he will not be in the sequel," Marini's rep says.
The much anticipated SATC 2 begins shooting in a couple of weeks or so.
Marini, 33, has made no secret of wanting to return…
SATC writer and director Michael Patrick King not only sent Marini congratulatory text messages during his stint on Dancing With the Stars, he even attended one of the performance shows.
Marini told me of taking going shirtless during his paso doble with partner Cheryl Burke, "I said, 'Cheryl, I'm talking my shirt off. I want to show Michael I'm still in shape.' I know he is writing beautiful things lately, and maybe he could put me in one of his projects."
Miley Cyrus's spokesperson has denied that the 16-year-old is to appear in the Sex And The City sequel.
The Hannah Montana star was said to be considering a part in the follow-up to take her acting career into the next level by securing more adult roles.
A source was quoted as saying: "Miley sees this as a transition from teen stardom to more adult roles. We’re all wondering how long it will take Kim [Cattrall] to have Miley knocking back Cosmos and ogling all the men. Seriously though, all the girls are excited to have Miley on board."
The singer-actress had just completed filming on her latest movie The Last Song, in which she plays a rebellious teenager, when she was linked to co-star with Sarah Jessica Parker via an internet rumour, Gossip Cop reports.
However, representative for Cyrus refuted the claims, saying that the story was "not true".
Miley Cyrus is growing up fast! As recent rumors tell that the star just got herself a part in the “Sex and the City” movie sequel.
The 16-year-old will reportedly be filming with the leading ladies that include Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall, and Cynthia Nixon.
This will be a role unlike any other Miley has done, giving everyone the chance to see what she can do.
“Miley sees this as a transition from teen stardom to more adult roles,” said one source.
And how do the famous “Sex and the City” girls feel about it? “We’re all wondering how long it will take Kim to have Miley knocking back Cosmos and ogling all the men.
Seriously though, all the girls are excited to have Miley on board.”
FORMER River City star Allison McKenzie is in line for a part in the new Sex And The City movie.
The 32-year-old actress and former model has been in talks with casting agents over the role, possibly as a nanny or the sister of one of the glamorous girls.
The sequel to Sex And The City: The Movie, which will be set in London as well as New York, is expected to focus on the central characters' fate in the aftermath of the global recession.
Mr Big, Carrie's tycoon lover, and PR guru Samantha, played by Kim Cattrall, will be among the characters who will have lost a fortune in the slump.
The rest of the script, which has a working title of Facing The Wind, is being kept under lock and key.
Glaswegian Allison said yesterday: "I know every single look, word and sideward glance that was ever filmed for Sex And The City. I'm a huge fan. So I'd like to think that level of dedication will pay off.
"It's really exciting and I was delighted to get the call-backs when the casting director came to London."
She could be in A-list company with Hollywood star Katie Holmes rumoured to be in line for a guest slot.
Katie's friend Victoria Beckham has also been linked to a walk- on part - along with glamour girl Jordan.
Oh, "Sex and the City," there is so much to love about you, and that’s why we’re so excited for a second movie. There’s the hunky guys, the fabulous fashions, Sarah Jessica Parker, and... the Mediterranean? That’s right, CinemaBlend reports the cast and crew (including director Michael Patrick King who is pictured with the ladies) of the “Sex and the City: The Movie” sequel have set up shop in Morocco for five weeks of filming. Five weeks! It must be all this shoddy (read: hot and/or rainy) New York summer weather.
But it raises the question: What could possible take Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha to Africa for such an extended period of time? Of course, five weeks of production in Morocco could be the equivalent of five minutes on screen, or it could take up half the film. But still, what could the ladies possibly be doing over there? The farthest they’ve strayed from NYC is to Carrie’s honeymoon booked in that Mexican resort (scenes that were actually filmed at a private home in Malibu!), so maybe the ladies have decided to expand their worldly travels?
The estimated 5,000 hopefuls at Tuesday's casting session for bit parts in the "Sex and the City" movie sequel are now awaiting "the call."
In fact, an automated text or e-mail will confirm whether the hideous ordeal of 90-degree heat, zero shade, painful blisters - and having to listen to a sidewalk evangelist spouting off about Sodom and Gomorrah was worth the effort.
Those chosen to fill the producers' need for "models, celebrity types, upscale socialites, gays and lesbians, international types and professional soccer players" will earn $93.50 plus overtime for a 12- to 16-hour day on the set.
But the wanna-bes weren't there for the paycheck. In the heady, carnival-like atmosphere, it was more about showing off and having fun.
The "Sex And The City" movie sequel has hit a stumbling block over plans to shoot scenes in the United Arab Emirates.
Filming in New York has already been pushed back until the end of August, and now sources claim plans to base part of the plot in Dubai have upset the government of the strict Muslim nation.
A source tells Us Weekly, "The UAE authorities aren't keen on the title because of the word 'sex'."
Studio bosses are hoping the sequel will emulate the huge success of the original movie, which earned $401 million at the worldwide box office.
Grant Wilfley Casting is holding an open call for background performers for SEX AND THE CITY 2.

Victoria Beckham is so intent on a cameo role in the "Sex And The City" movie sequel she has started taking acting lessons.
The former Spice Girls star turned down a walk-on role in the first film, because she was too busy rehearsing for the Spice Girls' reunion tour in 2007.
But this time around the fashion fanatic is hoping to score a part alongside Sarah Jessica Parker.
A source tells Britain's Mail on Sunday, "She really wanted to be in the last movie but wasn't able to take part because of her commitments with the Spice Girls. This time she's keen to take part."
Beckham has had some acting experience -- she starred as herself in the 1997 movie Spice World and also made a cameo in one episode of hit U.S. TV comedy series Ugly Betty.
The 'Sex and the City: The Movie' sequel will not reflect the recession in its characters' clothing, according to the movie's stylist.
Despite star Sarah Jessica Parker - who plays journalist Carrie Bradshaw in the hit TV and movie franchise - recently claiming she could see her character shunning expensive outfits to reflect the current economic climate, stylist Patricia Field insists she has no plans to dramatically alter the character's wardrobes.
She said: "I wouldn't do it. Of course the four girls are going to be fabulous and flamboyant - otherwise what is the point? I want to do it the other way. I'd be like: 'Forget your troubles.'
"I don't use the recession as a reference for my creativity."
Her comments came after Sarah Jessica said it would be "inappropriate" to showcase the designer clothes the franchise became famous for.
She said: "Carrie will have been affected and she's not an idiot. She's gonna have to change from thinking about indulgence."
Sarah Jessica Parker disapproves of her "Sex and the City" character. The actress - who plays columnist Carrie Bradshaw for all six TV series, last year's movie and will reprise her role for next year's film - didn't agree with the raunchy antics her alter-ego and her friends got up to.
She is quoted as saying: "If the audiences had known my true feelings about some of the sexual content in 'Sex and the City,' they may have felt I wasn't the right person to be in such a series."
Sarah - who recently became the mother of twin girls, who were born via a surrogate - admitted she didn't even like drinking Carrie's famous Cosmopolitan cocktails."
She revealed: "I just don't drink, that's part of the problem. I don't like the taste of it and I don't drink to relax. It has always been that way."
Unlike her co-stars - Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon - the 44-year-old star had a no-nudity clause written into her contract as she wasn't happy flashing her flesh.
She said: "I was thrilled that the others did the nude scenes so well and they looked great. But I have to deal with my own modesty."
It’s no secret that former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham has her eye on a career in film and/or television for the past two years. In 2007 she had a cameo part in Ugly Betty, a show she favors because of its fashion focus. Now sources are saying that Beckham would like to appear in the sequel to last year’s Sex and the City movie for much the same reason.
Beckham is reportedly taking acting lessons to convince movie producers that she’s more than just a famous face. If she feels confident enough with her progress as an acting student, she wants to start auditioning for parts. The Sex and the City sequel will start filming in late summer, and is scheduled to be released in 2010.
Beckham has not remarked in public about her acting ambitions, partly because she’s been out of the spotlight for the past couple of weeks. According to a report in The Daily Mail, she has been keeping to herself because of a recent bout with acne. Beckham was photographed in Beverly Hills last week wearing tiny denim cut-offs – perhaps, some speculate, in a bid to distract attention from her skin problems.
Evan Handler's Web site opens with the "Sex and the City" star walking a tightrope high above Manhattan, a fitting visual for the high-wire turn his own life took when he was diagnosed at age 24 with acute myeloid leukemia, a supposedly incurable form of cancer.
The Juilliard-trained native of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y., had been on the same fast track to stardom as Tom Cruise and Sean Penn, having landed starring roles in the 1981 hit movie "Taps" and several Broadway plays while barely out of his teens.
In his biography, "It's Only Temporary: The Good News and the Bad News of Being Alive," Handler relives the physical, emotional and financial battles he faced during four years of cancer treatments that culminated in a bone marrow transplant.
Handler came out of it laughing, if only at the absurdity of now having to live a life he'd already forsaken.
He regained his center by writing a solo theater piece, "Time on Fire: My Comedy of Terrors," that focused as much on how his illness had stunted his love life as how it had sidetracked his career. He published a full-length book version in 1996.
Six years later, he reclaimed his stardom when he joined the cast of "Sex and the City" as divorce lawyer Harry Goldenblatt, the second husband to Kristin Davis' character, Charlotte York.
Now 48, Handler lives in Los Angeles with his Italian-born wife and daughter, and co-stars with David Duchovny on the hit Showtime series "Californication."
Bankrate: Few people besides you and Michael J. Fox know what it feels like to have a successful acting career cut short by sudden, catastrophic illness. To what degree did the precipitous drop in earning power play into your "comedy of terrors"?
Gilles Marini In Talks for Sex and the City Sequel
April, 22. 2009.
While we're used to Sex & the City surrounding the lives of our favorite TV girlfriends; Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda, one actor stole the spotlight during the movie Gilles Marini aka: Samantha's hot neighbor Dante.
Gilles, Samantha's "sex on a stick" neighbor, played Dante in the hit movie, which left women across the country begging for more. Now that the SATC sequel has been confirmed, is there room in the sequel for this sexy actor? It's definitely a possibility.
Hollyscoop caught up with Gilles last night at the Dancing With the Stars taping where he opened up about the idea of making a cameo on the new SATC sequel.
“We’ve been talking," Gilles told Hollyscoop exclusively. "We'll see what happens. If Michael Patrick King comes down and says 'I have this part for you', I'll drop everything, except Dancing With the Stars, and I'll do it."
He added, "He’s a brilliant writer so I’d love to work with him again. I'm sure he has a lot of amazing thing cooking for me.”
Speaking of Michael Patrick King, he was recently spotted in the audience during a taping of DWTS earlier this month. Gilles joked that he took his shirt off during his performance that night to "show Michael I’m still in shape."
Now that Smith is out of the picture, it would be great to see Samantha hook up with someone just as hot if not hotter. What would Sex and the City be without a steamy Samantha rendezvous, right?
“Hell ya, I have unfinished business with Samantha,” Gilles joked. And we have unfinished business with you Gilles, in a sexy kind of way.
Even though actor Chris Noth has yet to sign on for the Sex and the City Movie sequel, buzz has started to leak about what could happen between Carrie and Mr. Big.
Firstly, could Mr. Big cheat on Carrie? It seems a young woman is going to be introduced into his life.
“Their marriage is going to face lots of challenges,” a SATC insider told Life & Style. “Big will be tempted by a younger colleague. It’s a juicy role for whoever they wind up casting.”
I agree that their has to be some truth about, “once a cheater always a cheater” but haven’t they been through enough already? I don’t subscribe to the idea that they should end up “normal” having kids etc but should Big cheat on Carrie and if so, should she forgive him? I really was hoping they would settle into a quasi normal existence. Bring drama in somewhere else.
Though it might be a good way for her to fall back into the arms of maybe a newly single Aiden? Well a girl can dream can’t she?
Also being said is that the ladies will have to alter their spending habits out of respect for our current recession.
“The proposed story line for Samantha will be her having to downsize her big-spending life after some of her investments get wiped out,” the insider reveals. “You will see her having to survive on a more modest budget but still staying true to her fabulous taste.”
Another plot point I do not agree with. Aren’t movies something we watch to escape reality? When we watch movies do they really need to reflect what is going on in the world? I don’t know how I feel about watching Samantha shop at H & M and the Gap. Its just not true to her character!
The sequel to the superhit 'Sex and the City Movie' based on the popular TV series of the same name will pack in a new surprise for fans, with a source claiming that the film will be based in London.
The series and the film which revolved around the travails of a group of friends living in the city of New York, will now relocate to London.
A source connected to the film said that in the sequel Sarah Jessica Parker's character Carrie Bradshaw will move to London after her husband Big is forced to take a job there, Contactmusic reported.
"The sequel will include key scenes of Carrie Bradshaw and her husband Big in London, possibly shooting this winter for six weeks," the insider said.
The film will also see the lead character struggling with her husband's infidelity.
"Carrie's trip to London does not look set be a happy one, with her husband's loneliness driving him to infidelity," the source added.

Sex And The City Sequel Gets Release Date
April, 4. 2009.
Mark your calendars, “Sex and the City” fans – the sequel to last summer’s hit TV show adaptation will arrive in theatres on May 28, 2010.
Variety reports that all four stars – Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon – will return, along with writer-director Michael Patrick King.
Although plot details have yet to be released, Parker told MTV News in November that fans shouldn’t expect to see Carrie sporting a baby bump underneath her high-fashion threads. “[Motherhood] doesn’t seem as if that’s going to be a choice she’ll make,” she said. “It feels a little bit manipulative to toss that into the mix because she seems so pointed in a different direction.”
The sequel’s release date mirrors that of the first movie, which hit theatres on the same weekend last year (May 30). It went on to pull in $412.6 million at the worldwide box office, a whooping amount for an R-rated romantic comedy.
Jennifer Hudson joined the “Sex and The City” franchise playing Louise from St. Louis. But she is very much open to becoming Louise from New York City if the opportunity arises in the movie’s sequel.
In an interview with Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson, Jennifer revealed she is very interested in reprising her role if executive producers Michael Patrick King and Sarah Jessica Parker want her back.
“Are you going to reprise your role on ‘Sex and The City’?” Shaun asked.
“I hope so! Come on Michael and Sarah,” Jennifer laughed.
Sarah Jessica recently confirmed the sequel to the box office smash is in the works and Jennifer hopes her character, who left New York City (and her job as Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant) for true love, comes back.
“I would love to play Louise again,” she said. “I told Michael Patrick King, I said that Louise has moved back to New York from St. Louis, so… I’ll be ready if that opportunity comes.”
Sarah Jessica Parker says the next 'Sex and the City' movie will be a
"romp". The actress, who is set to reprise her role as sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw, wants the script to be packed with steamy scenes and funny storylines.
She said: "I think we want this one to be a romp. The last one, we got to tell a really mature sophisticated story that had real heartbreak in it, and this time, I think we want a romp. We want our audience to have a massive romp."
Parker also refused to give away what will happen next for Carrie and her new husband Mr. Big - played by Chris Noth.
She added: "In a million years I'm not going to give you an indication. I
want someone to show up that first weekend." The 43-year-old actress - who will team up again with Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon for the next big screen installment - admits the movie will have to be sensitive to the growing global financial crisis.
Parker explained to US TV host Bully Bush: "How do we do that well? And how do we do that in a not lazy way? How do we address these economic times in a franchise that has a lot to do with luxury and labels?
"There is a lot that we have to think about because times are very
different. So these are nice challenges, these are good challenges."
Sarah Jessica Parker piled on the layers and left only a little bit of James Wilkie visible walking in NYC today. In the heart of winter, Carrie Bradshaw might be wearing something a little more flashy and we may be getting another taste of that fashion soon. There's been talk of a Sex and the City movie sequel since the first one came out, with Kim Cattrall going as far as confirming the news, and apparently they're inching toward a real deal. The latest is that the ladies have all agreed to star in a new film, although contracts haven't been signed yet. We'll wait to hear the official announcement before we toast our cosmos but it could be exciting to see the four women - and their men - back on the big screen.
They’ve been married for more years than most Hollywood couples could ever even dream of, but troubles also mar the Broderick-Parker paradise. If it’s not problems that rear their ugly head, then it’s the break-up rumors that plague them, the most recent coming from “Star” magazine, which says that the actress has moved out of the house and is considering legal separation.
The tabloid claims to have it from very reliable, but unnamed sources, that Sarah Jessica Parker, star of the HBO hit series “SATC,” has finally had it with her husband’s cheating and lies. Consequently, she is said to have already made the first steps in the direction by moving out of the house and by hiring a real estate broker to find her an apartment she could move in, presumably son James Wilkie included.
“Sarah’s not stupid. She knows exactly what’s going on. For a while it was easier for her to stay than go through a harsh divorce. They’re essentially living separate lives. They spent the holidays with him, pretending to be happy. SJP is a great actress when she has to be!” the unnamed spy tells the magazine about the actress’ determination to seek separation from her husband.
Although they live most of their life under the media radar, Sarah and Matthew’s marriage has often held the headlines on subjects such as this one. The two actors met through Sarah's brother and, much to the public surprise, married in a civil ceremony that barely made it in the pages of celebrity magazines.
Until now, the couple has lived in New York, a city the actress repeatedly confesses she could not live without, having fallen irremediably in love with it since she was young. Despite all rumors, so far, Matthew has always put up a united front with Sarah Jessica Parker, be it to defend her from the media (which even gave her the “distinction” of being the most unattractive female celebrity in Hollywood) or to show the world that all rumors on their marriage were utter lies. Whether this is also the case is still to be determined.
When Vivienne Westwood sets her mind to something, she is in the habit of following through.
Not long ago, the grande dame of British fashion remarked that she had the perfect idea for a sequel to the Sex and the City movie – a revelation which, at the time, few assumed to be more than a throwaway comment.
However, it seems that Westwood was entirely serious about the offer. I hear that she has since been in contact with production staff, trying to pitch her storyline as the plot of the next film.
"She's been obsessed with the film ever since she saw it. One of her designs was used as the wedding dress," I'm told. "She has even put in calls to [the lead actress] Sarah Jessica Parker about it."
So far it's been a case of "don't call us, we'll call you" for the flame-haired designer.
"We haven't had any news about it yet," said a spokesman. "So we don't know what's happening."
Kim on The Paul O'Grady Show, first time for the media said what we have been waiting for some time. SATC 2 gonna start with making in summer of 2009. So if we go with the fact that making of first movie started in October 2007 and premiere was in May 2008. So we might gonna see the SATC 2 in late winter or spring 2010.
But the fact is May is always the month of blockbusters I will not be suprised if the premiere goes May again but everything in its time :)

Books About Carrie's Teen Years
October, 11. 2008.
Ever wonder about Carrie Bradshaw's teenage years? Well, Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell will fill in all the blanks for us with a pair of young adult novels that will follow Carrie in her "formative high school years." The Huffington Post has more:
Bushnell, in a statement issued by her publisher, said, "Carrie in high school did not follow the crowd — she led it. It was there that she began observing and commenting on the social scene."
I'll be very interested to find out how Bushnell balances Carrie being the leader of the popular crowd as well as the one "observing and commenting." Also, how long do you think it'll be before these books are adapted for TV (most likely the CW)? By then I will have to stop picturing Sarah Jessica Parker as a teenager in Square Pegs (see above). I think I'd rather see something like that than another Gossip Girl knockoff, but who knows? Maybe these books will be totally fabulous.
They're having parties for DVD launches now, kids! But then this is no ordinary DVD launch...it's Sex and The City. It seems like only yesterday we were in Leicester Square trying to catch a glimpse of SJP and co at the world premiere, and now the stars are out in their finest again, this time in New York, to celebrate the DVD launch.
SJP went for the requisite little black dress, but not without a bit of Carrie-fication. Add one pair of shocking pink heels and some sheer long gloves and you've got a look that wouldn't look out of place in the movie. Not sure how she moves in a frock that tight, though.
Meanwhile, Kim Cattral turned heads with a rather revealing trousersuit with added sequins. The line between Kim and Sam is getting harder and harder to find.
Finally, Cynthia Nixon went for a rather fabulous pale oyster satin sheath with embroidered detail.
Ok, I know I was slacking a bit with the updates but it was a little dry season so I kinda got my mind with other projects and forget to check emails from this web. A fan sent me email about this few dayss ago, so I guess its
a little older news but anyway thanks mate. :)
So the DVD is not even out for the first SATC Movie and theres a plan for
the next one. Enjoy :D
You can't make everyone happy, but you sure can make money trying ($135 million, to be exact). Michael Patrick King must have learned that lesson somewhere along the way of working on Sex and the City: The Movie. Of course some fans will find fault in Big's predictable commitment-phobia or in Samantha's new singleness post-Smith, but the characters themselves are so lovable that it doesn't really matter — we'll keep paying to see them go through their trials, even at $10 a ticket.
King, the lead writer and director of Sex and the City, told Entertainment Weekly that a summer sequel is on the way.
When I finished [the first one], I didn’t have a thought in my head about a sequel. It doesn’t feel done to me at all. It feels like it generated a whole new burst of enthusiasm for these characters. I thought if I could come up with a really fun, worthy story it would certainly be a great chance to do it again.
There's no argument here. As a fan of the show (and Cynthia Nixon's involvement), I know I'll be shelling out cash to see what happens to the girls. Will you?
Cosabella Fall Sex and the City Lingerie Collection
August, 19. 2008.
Cosabella is back with a Fall Sex and the City lingerie collection. They seem to have Carrie's and Samantha's personas down — pink lace for Carrie and steamy animal prints for Samantha — but something went haywire in the design department when designing for the other ladies of Sex and the City.
Charlotte's pea green sleepwear is dull and drab in comparison to her bubbly personality, while Miranda's line looks too cute and girlie with offerings of brown and pink lace undies. Kind of disappointing since the Spring collection was spot on.

Did Sarah Jessica Parker zap off her famous mole?
SJP attended Tuesday night’s All-Star game, and hit the field beforehand for an announcement about cancer research. She has long had a trademark mole on her chin, which has been visible throughout her career, but she was conspicuously sans mole at the game last night
The Unsexiest Women Alive?
August, 18. 2008.
Sarah Jessica Parker has been hailed this year’s unexpected crush by Maxim magazine bidding to make up with the actress after calling her the unsexiest woman alive. SJP was outraged last year when Maxim bestowed her with the unsexy honor, insisting the insult was “brutal.”

No More Sex for Kim Cattrall?
July, 12. 2008.
Kim Cattrall infamously held up the Sex and the City movie from getting off the ground and now she may do the same to the sequel!
Another big-screen adaptation of the HBO hit is already in the planning stages, but it may all rest at the hands of the eldest Sex-y laady again.
“No one has checked to see if Kim Cattrall is available or interested in a sequel,” a source tells OK!. “Kim is a smart woman and knows the part she has played in the success of the film. If they want to make a sequel, it’s foolish to think they can secure her for the same salary.”
While many stars expect a pay increase with a hit movie’s sequel, the source says, “For Kim to be paid what she’s worth would mean SarahJessica Parker admitting how important Kim is to the movie’s success, and there is more chance of Carrie Bradshaw moving to Queens than of that happening!”
Meanwhile, Kim, 51, admitted on The Early Show, “I have a sneaky suspicion if the fans turn out and the movie does well, that we will be back, and I couldn’t be more thrilled.”
When did Sarah Jessica Parker realize just how big a phenomenon Sex and the City was?
How did Chris Noth relate to his role as Big?
And, why did Charlotte say, "I don't want to be Mrs.-Up-The-Butt?"

"Sex and the city" Movie sequel: A bad idea?
June, 5. 2008.
There will be a sequel to the wildly successful "Sex and the City" movie. After the film’s $57 million opening weekend, that’s one of the surest bets in the entertainment industry.
But – to muse a la Carrie Bradshaw– I have to wonder, can “Sex” be as good the second time around?
Not that this would stop the studio from rushing into a sequel, but if you’ve seen the film, you know there’s really nowhere for the stories of the “SATC” characters to go. (Pictured at right: Kristin Davis, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall in the "SATC" movie.)
Well, I must say its not so good. Avg. rating is 4.8 which is kinda dissapointing. The sample is take from almost 13000 raters so here are the results of the world voting :)
From the chart you can see that people love it or hate it, the middle part is kinda short in numbers :)
And if you see the age and sex chart one thing is obvious. Female population is responsible for this lower IMDB rating. Why did you take your boyfriends and husbands to the show ;)
No book cover on Amazon so its not 100% sure its the right book but worth to check it out.

King hints at Sex and the City Sequel
May, 31. 2008.
Don't put those Manolos back in the closet just yet. Variety reports Sex and the City movie writer-producer-director Michael Patrick King might have another script (or two) up his sleeve.
"I wrote that with a beginning, middle and end because I didn't want to leave the audience unfulfilled," he said. "The actresses are great, and if the gods smile and people are still intersted, why not?"
Hey, Michael, I don't public interest is going to be an issue.
Regardless of whether a SATC sequel is in the offing, King will certainly be keeping himself busy. He's just landed a deal with DreamWorks giving the studio a first-look at his next film.
King tells Variety his next project is a romantic comedy with a focus on the meaning of love.
The cultural phenom that had us all slurping Cosmos and sporting tutus and Jimmy Choos (okay, not all of us) finally sashays into theaters after a four-year wait. This stylish NYC romance delivers, especially for voracious Sex addicts—but isn't a 142-minute running time overcompensating?

The flick easily picks up where the finale left off: Author/fashion icon Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) plans a lavish wedding with Mr. Big (Chris Noth), but the ever-elusive guy has second thoughts.
Cynical, wisecracking lawyer Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) struggles to trust her hubby again after a sexual indiscretion. Eternal optimist Charlotte (Kristin Davis) cares for her adopted daughter but still longs to get pregnant. And cougar-prototype Samantha (Kim Cattrall) lives in Hollywood with the hunkster actor she manages.
Size only matters if you know what to do with the extra length, and SATC feels less like a cohesive feature than a string of TV episodes.
Writer/director Michael Patrick King has trouble interweaving all the characters and storylines, as Miranda and Charlotte disappear for long periods, Charlotte's subplot lacks development, and the middle slumps with a glum Carrie shattered over…something we won't spoil here. And while Dreamgirl Jennifer Hudson, as Carrie's personal assistant, adds a sweet and more youthful presence, her character isn't that interesting.
Though dramatically uneven, SATC still offers a number of pleasures, usually in simpler scenes, as the gal-pals banter, talk love and sex, and, yes, try on clothes. Fashion montages in movies are almost always expendable, but here the scenes are so joyous and girl-empowering (and deserving of mad style points!), they only add to the friendship fun.
After a round of premieres and press in Europe, Sarah Jessica Parker & Co. hit Radio City Music Hall in New York City tonight for the movie’s U.S. premiere.
SJP looked incredible in a silver floor-length Nina Ricci gown and 19th-century jewels from Fred Leighton. The 3,000 or so people filling the theater cheered as she made her way in. The second-loudest round of hootin’ and hollerin’ went to Chris “Mr. Big” Noth.
And who was there? Among the premiere guests munching on popcorn and sipping the new SATC Vitaminwater called XXX were Bette Midler, Katie Couric, Molly Sims, Regis Philbin, Mary J. Blige, Donald and Melania Trump, Joan Allen, Donna Karan, Nicole Miller, Christian Siriano, Edie Falco, Todd Oldham, Bradley Cooper, Victor Garber and funnylady Amy Sedaris.
For actress/fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker, playing Carrie Bradshaw on HBO’s "Sex and the City" was more than just a television role.
"It’s been, now, almost 11 years of my life. I don’t know how one can sum it up," Parker said.
The 43-year-old actress and her husband, actor Matthew Broderick, have a 5-year-old son, James Wilkie. Parker called Carrie "a life-changing experience. Personally it’s not the same as having a child, it’s a very different experience. But certainly it’s enriched my life in ways that I could have never imagined."
The movie version of the long-running HBO series opens Friday. As both producer and star, the two years she spent getting "Sex" made "seems nothing short of miraculous. This is the movie that Michael Patrick (King, the film’s screenwriter and director) and I hoped for, fought for, dreamt of, battled for, doggedly pursued."
The struggle began with the search for a studio once HBO passed on a movie. Parker credits the fans for sparking New Line to pony up.
"To make a movie about four women over 40 is really not the way that Hollywood likes to spend their money. It’s really the commitment and the energy of the audience, through DVDs and syndication," she said. "Had they not have been so devout, we could not have convinced a studio."
Unlike the first season of "Sex," when outrageousness was the order of the day, the movie charts a different time for Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda.
"All the Botox in the world isn’t going to change time. There is too much documentation. To run from it, to have a story about four women running around Manhattan, drinking liberally and looking for sexual conquests, is just not the story we want to tell," Parker said.
That’s why " Dreamgirls" Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson appears as Carrie’s assistant. "She illustrates the difference between being 20 and coming to New York with all that hope of promise and the more silly things, fashion, socializing. All that stuff that a 20-year-old should be exploring."
Is this the end for Carrie?
"I just don’t feel like that is a decision that’s mine to make. It’s greedy right now to think about anything beyond this experience."
It’s an event four years in the making: the Sex and the City movie hits theaters on May 30. How desperate are fans for a first look? MainStreet is monitoring NYC’s Craigslist to see who is selling theater tickets and who is begging for seats at the May 27 New York premiere.
